Palm Beach, FL. (July 4, 2017) Jeremy Desautels born December 2nd, 2000 in Granby Province of Quebec, standing at 6’2” & 205 lbs, and bringing an extremely physical type of game for the Hawks next season. Desautels is coming to the USA in pursuit of building his career in the USPHL.  Recognized as a defenseman, Jeremy can bring effective attacks at any moment. Jeremy, is excited to be heading to South Florida where he can enjoy two of his favorite hobbies year round, Golf and Swimming.

His last 4 years in Quebec were spent playing in the prep school circuit and knows already what life is like away from home. “I’m very excited to play in USPHL!  At the tryouts some chemistry developed with a great player David Israel. Hopefully we will be partners at the blue line. Isreal is very offensive minded and I am more defense so I think we can be a great duo together. However, for me it is also about developing and progressing next season. I know I need to be patient and I will learn so much on and off the ice. I can’t wait to be at the main camp in August. My summer will consist of skating and the gym every day to prepare for this exciting opportunity. Another great addition is I will be playing again with my teammate and friend Tomi Gagnon in Florida.”

“First day of camp I saw a big defenseman with so much potential in front of him. Jeremy will bring not only the physical side of the game but also some leadership inside the team. I know it will take a period of adjusting for him, but on the flip side, he is intelligent and will develop very fast with us. I really believe Jeremy will be playing Tier II in two years. Like anybody else, he needs to improve some power skating and vision of the game but Jeremy is very coachable and I already like his work ethic. A huge plus; he created chemistry so fast with David Israel; they have already developed a great friendship on and off the ice. Finally, Jeremy is very passionate about the game and excels in the classroom. He will be a great asset for our team next season."    - Coach Frenchy
