Palm Beach, FL. (June 4, 2017) Born in San Diego CA., grew up in Chicago then moved to Boca Raton. Matthew Buckley will pursue his hockey career with the Palm Beach Hawks Elite Team in USPHL. After a few years in the Hawks youth hockey program, Matthew is excited to continue being a Hawk and play for the same hockey club since living in Florida. Matthew is elated to return to playing for Coach Frenchy, as two years ago Matt played for him.

Buckley had a great season in the U16 AA and High School team. He helped his High School team win Division 2 in Florida. This is Matt’s senior year and now ecstatic to play as a Junior for his first time. He knows it won’t be easy but his dedication and work ethic will help him to a great first season.

Coach Frenchy: “I am very excited to having Matthew with us. Two years ago, I had an opportunity to Coach him and got to know him. He has a great heart, very coachable and most of all wants to learn more every day. Matt knows it’s a big step for him, knows his role inside the team already and is confident to taking it one day at the time raising his bar every single day. I like his passion, always smiling at the rink. I’m very proud of him and I look forward to coaching him again, helping him grow in this sport!

Welcome to the Hawks Matthew!!!
